Welcome to my garden blog. Winter months bring winter birds to the garden, spring brings renewal with bright colors and natures wondrous flowers, summer brings perennials that liven up the outdoors, while autumn gives us a harvest of homegrown veggies.

Corn....

Well, if Irene wanted to destroy my corn harvest, she didn't succeed. I can still use what is left of what she kicked around last weekend to make corn shalks to decorate the outside of our home for the fall season. I bundled them up and they are ready to place on posts out front of the house. I just need some *pumpkins and mums and maybe some cabbage to go along with and I am ready to celebrate the harvest!
* - I have to buy pumpkins as I don't have any left to use for decoration from the garden. Oh well....next year I will know better and plant a section of carving pumpkins....maybe...if there is room.
