I just realized I forgot to get sage...oh well, I am sure I can get them at work anytime.
I went over the back of the packages to see when the best times to get them started indoors and made my plans in my journal. I am planting the corn, squash and beans together trying the 3 sisters method. The corn and cilantro are recommended to sow directly in the ground, so I won't be doing anything with them at all until after fear of frost is over.
I have about until early to mid March to get the seeds started, although I may start some of the herbs early to transplant into pots for the indoors until I can get them out on the deck.
I purchased the little pumpkins and the bottle gourds for autumn crafts. I have a nice area behind my yard to plant them. They are recommended to grow on trellises, so I will place to of them back there for these guys to grow on. It shall be interesting. I would love to grow luffa, but am unsure if I can around here??? A fellow blogger at Down To Earth grows and dries them to place with her hand made soaps and I thought, how neat this would be to do as well. I need to research luffa and see if I have the right conditions to grow them. She grows them on a fence and I always have room to grow vertically.
The picture of the greenhouse kits I purchased on impulse (sigh), but I can reuse them year after year. I have minimal indoor space and until I get my greenhouse purchased and set up, I will use these on my windowsills for now.

Hi Laurie, You are so organized! Can you send a little organization my way? I feel scattered, as of late:( You certainly have loaded up on the seeds and have some great plans ahead. I don't really understand seeds therefore I buy potted perennials and squeeze new ones into whatever extra spots I can find each spring. I don't have areas where veggies could thrive, I don't think. You are in PA (that's where I was born. I'm from northeast PA, though...Dallas (outside of Wilkes Barre). It's not 'home' now though...most of my relatives have moved all over, just like me. But I do have a friend in Lancaster:) Have a great day!! Jan
I am getting those itchy green fingers also. Soon the seeds will be in, oh I can't wait!

Looks like you picked up some great selections Laurie. Good for you planning ahead. It's never to early to get your seeds. I purchased mine this past fall. :)
I love seed shopping! I buy way too much though. Do you have luck growing cilantro? I have not had any luck year after year. I would appreciate any tips you may have...
Louisj80 - I grew it last year and it came out fine...I didnt start it from seed though. So this year will be a new adventure.
Hi Laurie!
I have all my seed catalogs out and ready to order...you're on the ball girl!
Our garden was hit with blight last season...so I can't plant my tomato plants or any spuds this year--for 3 years actually!
I will plant some tomatoes in containers tho...can't be a gardener with NO tomato plants! ;)
We live up north, near Lake Erie...very SHORT growing season...so we built ourselves a greenhouse...that really helps extand the season.
I can't wait for SPRING---I love to garden!
Good Luck with your sprouts ;)
Hugs-Kath
